In what has been annual tradition since he came into office in 2013, Mayor Mike Spano on Tuesday delivered more than 400 Thanksgiving dinners to needy Yonkers families.
The dinners were supplied by private donations from the Yonkers Police Athletic League (PAL), Yonkers Contracting, ShopRite, Mark Stagg of Stagg Group, PCNY, Valley Oil and Rainbow Restoration. Each donation consisted of turkey and all its fixings.
The deserving families were pre-selected by local community-based organizations.
