Mayor Spano Unveils New Renovations for Lincoln Park

Continuing his ongoing commitment to enhancing the city’s public parks, Mayor Mike Spano joined with Yonkers Parks, Recreation & Conservation Commissioner Steve Sansone, staff, residents, and community members for the reopening of Lincoln Park on October 6. Mayor Spano unveiled renovations to the long-standing neighborhood park. Lincoln Park, situated in the center of South Broadway’s business district, includes a Lincoln Memorial Statue and serves as a key public gathering space for the neighborhood.

Improvements to the park include:

  • Installation of new benches
  • Expanded green spaces and additional trees
  • Updated landscaping
  • Enhanced site improvements
  • Cleaning of the Lincoln Memorial statue

Yonkers is home to a wide array of parks that offer serene natural settings and a variety of outdoor activities for all ages. Over Mike Spano’s tenure, his administration has renovated or expanded dozens of parks in Yonkers.
